Where to watch the fireworks in Dubai on New Year’s Eve

Dubai announced 48 fireworks shows at 40 locations for last New Year’s Eve (31 December 2025). These are the four best known: where each one happens, where you could watch free, what a paid seat costs and how to get home. Facts are from 31 December 2025 unless a line says this season.

Which show should you pick?

Pick the show first, then the spot. For the headline show and the biggest crowd, it is Burj Khalifa. For a beach night, JBR. For a gala, Atlantis on the Palm.

You can only see one show properly. Decide where you want to stand at midnight and plan the evening around that.

When the fireworks start

The main shows are at midnight Dubai time, as Thursday 31 December 2026 turns into Friday 1 January 2027. Last season Gulf News logged the Burj Khalifa fireworks at 12:00am and listed Bluewaters, The Beach JBR, Al Seef and Hatta for 11:59pm.

Some places started earlier. Global Village held its first countdown at 8pm. Our fireworks timings page has every time we could source.

The other shows on 31 December 2025

The four above are a simplification. Dubai’s Event Security Committee announced 48 shows at 40 locations. These are the ones we could source a time or a rule for.

Last season the metro was timetabled to run without a break from 5am on 31 December 2025 to 11:59pm on 1 January 2026. The station next to the biggest show, Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall, was due to close to entry from 5pm, or earlier if it filled up. That was RTA’s plan as reported by Khaleej Times.

Taxis reached Downtown only until the roads closed, at about 4pm. Check our road closures and metro guides for the roads and the hours.
