Find me a hotel packageA New Year’s Eve hotel package in Dubai is often two prices: the room, and a compulsory dinner or gala on top. Ask for both before you compare hotels.
Atlantis says so in writing. Guests staying at Atlantis, The Palm or Atlantis The Royal over New Year’s Eve must book the gala or one of the resorts’ restaurant experiences, on top of the room, and a minimum stay applies.

What the compulsory part can cost
At Atlantis this season the gala starts at AED 8,500 per person aged 14 and above. Dinner at a restaurant inside Atlantis, The Palm starts at AED 1,350 per adult, with ages 4 to 13 at AED 675. Atlantis does not say how many nights the minimum stay is.
Other hotels set their own rules. Ask each one: is the gala optional, and is its price already in my total?
Staying in Downtown (31 December 2025)
Last New Year’s Eve Emaar told hotel and restaurant guests in Downtown to arrive before the road closures, which could begin as early as 4pm. A hotel guest’s badge was valid for their own hotel only, and a badge did not let a car through once the roads were closed.
Emaar has not published its programme or put tickets on sale for 31 December 2026 yet. We update this page the day it does.
A room view is not an event view
A room sold as skyline-facing may not see the fireworks. Ask for the room category and what it faces. Emaar itself said not every Downtown restaurant has a direct view of the Burj Khalifa show.
The morning after
1 January 2027 is a Friday and a public holiday. Ask whether breakfast, a late checkout or a New Year’s Day brunch is in your package. Our brunch page covers 1 January.

Does a hotel room include the New Year’s Eve gala?
Not always. At Atlantis, The Palm and Atlantis The Royal the gala or a restaurant experience is booked in addition to the room, and one of them is compulsory for guests staying over New Year’s Eve. Ask your hotel which rule it uses.
Can I drive to my Downtown hotel on New Year’s Eve?
