Emaar NYE 2027: Burj Park, free zones and what to expect

What “Emaar NYE” means

Emaar is the developer behind Burj Khalifa and Downtown Dubai, and it organises the Burj Khalifa countdown show each year: fireworks from the tower, a light and laser show, and entertainment across Downtown. Its official site for the event is mydubainewyear.emaar.com.

This page covers the evening of 31 December 2026, welcoming 2027 at midnight Dubai time. As of 30 September 2026, Emaar has not published the programme or tickets for this season. We update this page when it does.

Burj Park: the paid option last season

For 31 December 2025, Burj Park was a ticketed area with a guaranteed, uninterrupted view of the show, live entertainment, kids’ workshops and food trucks. Badges cost Dh997.50 for adults and Dh577.50 for children aged 5 to 12, with under-5s free. They were sold through Emaar’s official site and Platinumlist, and collected in person between 26 and 30 December.

Expect a similar structure this year, but wait for Emaar’s announcement before relying on any price. Burj Park is not one of the free zones.

The free public viewing areas

Last season Emaar’s public viewing areas in Downtown Dubai were free, first-come first-served, with no tickets or badges required. Food and non-alcoholic drinks were allowed, the areas were family-friendly, and LED screens along Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard streamed the show.

Free spots fill hours before midnight. Arrive in the afternoon, bring water, and agree a meeting point in case phone networks slow down.

Getting in and out

Emaar’s advice last season: road closures could begin as early as 4pm, taxis ran only until closures started, and the recommended route was Dubai Metro to Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall station. Public parking on Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard was first-come, first-served.
