What time are the New Year’s Eve fireworks in Dubai?

Midnight, Dubai time (GMT+4). 2027 begins at 12:00am on Friday 1 January, at the end of Thursday 31 December 2026. Last New Year’s Eve the Burj Khalifa fireworks were logged at 12:00am, and some places started earlier, from 8pm.
This season so far, Atlantis has announced midnight fireworks. Emaar has not published its programme or put tickets on sale for 31 December 2026 yet. We update this page the day it does.

The festival drone show between Bluewaters and The Beach, JBR flew at 8pm and 10pm every night. No source gives its times on 31 December itself.

Burj Khalifa: Emaar has not published its programme or put tickets on sale for 31 December 2026 yet. We update this page the day it does.
Burj Al Arab: No fireworks have been announced for the Burj Al Arab on 31 December 2026 yet. We update this page when that changes.
Global Village: its season runs from 14 October 2026 to May 2027, so it is open on the night. Global Village has not announced its New Year’s Eve programme for 31 December 2026 yet.
On 31 December 2026 the sun sets at 5:40pm, and it is dark soon after 6pm. 1 January 2027 is a Friday and a public holiday on the UAE’s standing list.

What time do the fireworks start in Dubai on New Year’s Eve?
At midnight Dubai time for the main shows. Last season Gulf News logged the Burj Khalifa fireworks at 12:00am on 1 January 2026, and its festival schedule listed Bluewaters, The Beach JBR, Al Seef and Hatta at 11:59pm.
Are there earlier fireworks for children?
Last season, yes. Global Village held seven countdowns from 8pm, each with fireworks and a drone show. Dubai Festival City Mall had fireworks at 8:30pm, and Khaleej Times reported a 9:30pm show at Dubai Parks and Resorts. Expo City Dubai held a children’s countdown at 9pm.
How long do the Burj Khalifa fireworks last?
We found no official figure for the show on 31 December 2025, so we do not print one. Plan for the whole evening: last season the roads closed from 4pm.
