Dubai NYE public viewing: free and paid access

Free viewing needs an approved location

For 31 December 2026, use the officially designated public zones and current destination instructions. A place that is free on an ordinary day can have controlled access during a major event.

Downtown: separate Burj Park from public zones

Burj Park was a paid, ticketed experience for 31 December 2025. Check Emaar for the forthcoming season rather than treating it as free. Public Downtown viewing areas have their own entry points and crowd controls.

JBR and Jumeirah: check the exact beach

For JBR, use the destination’s current instructions. For Kite Beach or Sunset Beach, establish the permitted access and the actual view from your location. Private hotel beaches and ticketed beach parties are separate from public viewing.

The Palm: do not assume open access

Do not rely on The Pointe boardwalk: current public NYE access is not established here. For any Palm location, including West Beach, check the relevant operator and the actual sightline.

Budget for comfort and leaving

Free admission does not include food, transport or a reserved place. Check toilets, accessible routes and a realistic return journey. Have another plan if an area reaches capacity; avoid moving through crowds in search of a promised quiet spot.
