How we handle website measurement, venue submissions and enquiries.
Who operates this website
NewYearDubai.ae is operated by Viral.ae, Dubai, UAE. We provide a New Year guide and a venue listing service. Visitors do not need an account to browse. We do not collect guest payment details or complete guest bookings on this website.
Website measurement
Our own aggregate counters record page views and selected button clicks so we can improve the guide and report listing performance. These records use the page path without its query string, the relevant venue identifier and a broad referrer category. They do not include your name, phone number, message contents or a visitor identifier, and these counters do not set cookies.
The counters cannot tell us whether a WhatsApp message was sent, a call connected or a booking was completed. Venue reports contain counts rather than visitor identities. Older event records are periodically removed after 180 days so a January venue report can include the September-to-December season. Deletion runs in bounded batches as new events arrive, so removal is not instantaneous at the 180-day mark. The private owner dashboard can export aggregate counts for selected dates; exports contain no visitor identities.
Google Analytics may be used for additional site measurement when enabled. Its handling of usage and device data is described in Google’s privacy policy. The default aggregate counters described above do not depend on Google Analytics or cross-site tracking cookies.
Venue submissions and saved drafts
If you submit a venue, we receive the contact details, offer, prices, photographs and other information you choose to provide. We use them to review your submission, contact you, prepare the listing and deliver the agreed service. Approved venue details and approved booking contacts are published on the listing. Private submission contact details are not automatically public.
The submission form may save an unfinished text draft in your browser so you can return to it. Use the form’s clear-draft control, or clear this website’s browser storage, to remove it from that device. Do not use a shared device for information you want to keep private.
Please only provide photographs and information you are authorised to share. Contact us if a submission needs correction or removal. Service records may need to be retained while we handle your enquiry, deliver a listing or meet applicable obligations.
Messages, calls and bookings
WhatsApp, email and call links open services outside this website. Your message or call goes to the recipient shown on the link: a venue for a booking, or our team for a shortlist or listing enquiry. The recipient and service provider handle that communication under their own terms and privacy practices.
If you contact our team, we use the information you provide to answer your enquiry or prepare your listing. A click counter does not collect the message you write in WhatsApp. The venue handles any guest booking, payment, cancellation or related personal information you send directly to it.
Security and service providers
Hosting and delivery services process technical request information needed to serve and protect the website. Abuse controls use short-lived, salted hashes derived from network addresses to limit repeated submissions; temporary limits also protect the measurement endpoint. These controls are separate from the aggregate venue performance records.
We use service providers to host the website and store submissions. Access to submission records is restricted to the people and services needed to handle them. We do not sell personal information or provide venue advertisers with visitor profiles.
