Dubai plans New Year’s Eve with families in mind. Last New Year’s Eve (31 December 2025) five of Emaar’s ten free viewing areas in Downtown were family areas, the public beaches were for families only, and Global Village held its first countdown at 8pm.
For dinner, OCCO Hessa in Al Barsha welcomes children and is listed from AED 350 per person. It is a promoted listing. Under it, the open listings show venues that have published a child price for this New Year’s Eve. Our New Year’s Eve dinner price list prints those child prices beside the adult ones.

Last New Year’s Eve Global Village held seven countdowns, at 8pm, 9pm, 10pm, 10:30pm, 11pm, midnight and 1am, each with fireworks and a drone show. They were included in the entry ticket, and the gates were open from 4pm to 2am.
Expo City Dubai held a children’s countdown at 9pm at Al Wasl Plaza. Its event ran from 8pm to 1am and cost AED 150.
Global Village has not announced its New Year’s Eve programme for 31 December 2026 yet. Our Global Village article has last season’s times and what is known for this one.
Emaar named five family viewing areas: South Ridge, ACT (1) / ACT (2), Outer Boulevard, Old Town and Cascade Garden. All were free, first come, first served.
Emaar’s guide did not allow baby strollers in crowded areas. Families with strollers going to Burj Park had to use Gate 2 on Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard.
Burj Park, the ticketed area, cost AED 577.50 for a child aged 5 to 12 and AED 997.50 for an adult. Children under 5 went in free but still needed a booked ticket and a badge. The ticket included kids’ workshops.
A field hospital with a children’s section was set up in the Burj Khalifa area, and 37 help tents at the celebration sites looked after lost children. The detail is on our Emaar NYE 2027 page.
Emaar has not published its programme or put tickets on sale for 31 December 2026 yet. We update this page the day it does.
The official plan reserved Dubai’s public beaches for families on New Year’s Eve. Dubai Municipality then named four, as reported by Gulf News and Khaleej Times: Jumeirah Beach 2, Jumeirah Beach 3, Umm Suqeim Beach 1 and Umm Suqeim Beach. According to Gulf News the rule ran from 3pm on 31 December 2025 to 6pm on 1 January 2026.
What counts as a family was not stated. No official plan for 31 December 2026 is out yet: no road closures, metro hours, beach rules or list of fireworks locations. Last season the plan came on 26 December 2025. We update this page the day it is out.
Ask for the child price by age. Last season 36% of the offers we counted listed a separate children’s price, so ask if you do not see one.
Ask where your table is, whether shisha is smoked near it and what time the kitchen closes. Then ask for one written total for adults and children.
