Is a Burj Khalifa view table worth it on New Year’s Eve?

Only if the venue tells you in writing what you will see from your own seat. Last season a view added about 48% to the starting price: offers that mentioned a fireworks or landmark view started at a median AED 1,475 per person, against AED 1,000 for those that did not.
In Downtown the gap disappears, because almost everything there is priced for the show: the typical Downtown offer started at AED 2,000. The numbers come from our cost guide, which counted 211 priced offers for 31 December 2025. What the extra money should buy
A view price should buy the view from your own seat. Ask whether it is full or partial, whether you see it sitting down, and whether it is from your table or from a shared terrace.
Emaar itself said last season that not every Downtown restaurant has a direct view of the Burj Khalifa show.
Ask for a photo taken from the seating area you are paying for, and get the view in writing.
Count the whole evening
The fireworks are one part of a long night. Compare the food, the drinks, the entertainment and how long the table is yours. A gala dinner puts dinner and a show in one price, so compare it as a whole evening too.
In last season’s offers, moving from a soft-drinks package to house drinks added a median AED 200 per person, and the top option at a venue cost a median 1.6 times its cheapest.
What Downtown asked of diners last season
Restaurant guests in Downtown needed a badge to pass the checkpoints, collected by 30 December. A badge did not let a car through once the roads were closed, and Emaar told guests to arrive before the closures, which could begin as early as 4pm.
The cheaper ways to see the show
Emaar’s public viewing areas were free last season, first come, first served. Burj Park, the ticketed area, cost AED 997.50 per adult and did not include food or drink.

When another dinner makes more sense
If the food or the party matters more to you than the view, compare the dinners listed on this site: Vesna from AED 250 per person, OCCO Hessa from AED 350 and OCCO Business Bay from AED 990. All three are promoted listings, and none has a fireworks view.
